Mas algumas companhias conseguiram se destacar positivamente, como a Petrobras, cujos pap\u00e9is ordin\u00e1rios (PETR3) saltaram 10% no ano e mantiveram a estatal como a empresa com maior valor de mercado (ou &#8220;market cap&#8221;, em ingl\u00eas) dentre todos os ativos listados na B3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">At the end of December, Petrobras was worth R$ 496.045 billion, followed by Ita\u00fa Unibanco (ITUB4), with R$ 282.290 billion, and Vale (VALE3), with R$ 247.602 billion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is important to note that market value, or market cap, is a measure that consists of multiplying the current price of a share by the total number of its shares in circulation. The higher the market cap, the more valuable the company in the eyes of investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-eficiencia-e-governanca-corporativa\">Which Ibovespa share rose the most in 2024?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mas os investidores tamb\u00e9m procuram a\u00e7\u00f5es que tenham bom &#8220;upside&#8221; no ano, ou seja, que possam aumentar o pre\u00e7o unit\u00e1rio em 12 meses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In terms of nominal variation, the leader among Ibovespa assets in 2024 was Embraer (EMBR3), whose shares jumped 150.96%. Next came Marfrig (MRFG3), with 104.93%, and BRF (BRFS3), advancing 87.99%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-plano-de-expansao-e-diversificacao-do-portfolio\">Which stock rose the most in 2024?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Considerando todos os ativos listados na B3, n\u00e3o apenas os que comp\u00f5em o Ibovespa, a maior alta de 2024 foi anotada pela Ambipar (AMBP3), de 700%, em meio a um movimento de &#8220;short squeeze&#8221;. Em outras palavras, esse movimento ocorre quando investidores que venderam a\u00e7\u00f5es da companhia a descoberto &#8211; acreditando que o pre\u00e7o da a\u00e7\u00e3o cairia &#8211; precisam desfazer suas posi\u00e7\u00f5es, ocasionando uma forte alta nos pre\u00e7os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In second place was <strong>Fictor Alimentos (FICT3), que fez um &#8220;IPO reverso&#8221;<\/strong>This is when a private company buys an already listed company and goes to the market for a new issue. The share's high was 314% in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"No in\u00edcio de 2025, WEG se destaca\">At the beginning of 2025, WEG stands out<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After accumulating a rise of around 58% in the last 12 months, WEG (WEGE3) begins 2025 consolidating its position as the company with the third highest market value on B3, surpassing even Vale (VALE3)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a survey by consultancy Elos Ayta, WEG had a market value of R$ 222.068 billion at the close of trading on Tuesday (14), compared to R$ 221.350 billion for Vale. Above the two were Petrobras (PETR4), with R$ 506.565 billion, and Ita\u00fa Unibanco (ITUB4), with R$ 284.945 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">WEG has the sixth highest weight in the Ibovespa composition valid between January and April. The asset's weight is 3.347%.
