How a sponsorship of Palmeiras made this company millions on the stock exchange

The Fictor Group's sponsorship of Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras has increased the company's visibility and generated a positive and unexpected result: shares in Fictor Alimentos (FICT3), the group's listed company, rose 17% in just one day. With this move, the food company gained R$ 15.7 million in market value in a matter of hours.

The partnership involves an investment of R$ 30 million per season and lasts for three years, extendable for another year. In addition to the brand's presence on the back of the uniforms of both the men's and women's professional teams, the group has become a master sponsor of the club's youth teams. In addition to the exposure on the shirts, the group has also acquired the naming rights to the Under-17 tournament held by Palmeiras, which will be renamed the Fictor Cup.

Fictor Alimentos hit the stock market in December 2024 through a reverse IPO - a process in which a private company buys a company already listed on the stock exchange. The company emerged after the Fictor Group and Conquest acquired the shares of Atom Participações, an education company founded by Carol Paiffer, for R$ 20 million. According to the executives, the purpose of the new company is to diversify investments in the food sector by acting as a controlling shareholder or investor with a relevant equity stake in other companies in the segment. Since the beginning of the year, Fictor Alimentos' shares have risen by 23.5%.
