Fictor Foods took a strategic step by joining the Brazilian Stock Exchange through a reverse IPO. The company, which operates as a pure holding company focused on animal proteins, took advantage of an opportunity in the capital markets to structure its presence in an agile and strategic way. "The reverse IPO is an efficient way of mitigating costs and accelerating access to the capital market, especially in a complex scenario for primary public offerings." explained André Vasconcellos, the company's Director of Strategy and Investor Relations, in an interview with Business, BM&C News.

Efficiency and corporate governance

According to Vasconcellos, the reverse IPO allowed the company to begin operations as a publicly traded company without trading interruptions. He pointed out that the operation also reinforces commitments to governance, including the protection of minority shareholders' rights. "Our aim is to guarantee a high level of transparency and responsibility towards the market," he said.

With a focus on acquiring companies in financial difficulty, Fictor Alimentos is seeking to consolidate its position in the protein sector. According to Vasconcellos, "family structures and governance difficulties in smaller companies offer possibilities for synergy and growth". The company also plans to use its expertise in processes and routines to transform these organizations and integrate them into its business model.

Portfolio expansion and diversification plan

With a lean initial structure, the company plans to move forward with acquisitions in line with its growth plan. "Acquisitions should consider both financial potential and geographical location, always aiming for synergies with our supply chain," said Vasconcellos. He also pointed out that the initial focus will be on poultry, fish and seafood, with a possible expansion into other types of protein in the near future.

Fictor Alimentos' commitment to sustainable practices was also emphasized. "Investing in governance and sustainability is strategic, as it reduces future risks and costs," said the executive. The company is seeking certifications and regulatory compliance to strengthen its position in the market.

Since its debut, Fictor Alimentos shares have shown strong profitability. According to Vasconcellos, "transparency and constant communication with the market are fundamental to consolidating investor confidence". He also stated that the company will continue to prioritize open dialogue and the disclosure of relevant information to its shareholders.
